Yes, there is a fair chance that the february '90 version of James 'Buster' Douglas would have beaten the '86-'88 version of 'Iron' Mike Tyson or at least have him in trouble. We'll never know.
There is a fair chance that Evander Holyfield (considered prime or near-prime at bout) would have beaten the '86-'88 version, considering the '96/'97 version of 'Iron' Mike still could be considered physically prime, but past prime as far as boxing skills go.
Prime Lennox Lewis would have more than a fair chance at beating '86-'88 Tyson despite Lennox' suspect chin.
Danny Williams and Kevin McBride? Prime Tyson should wipe the floor with them.
He rightfully deserved to be inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame, despite of what Teddy Atlas thought about the matter (Atlas recently somewhat forgave Tyson after 30 years, but that's another story).
I honestly feel that 'Iron' Mike Tyson at his best deserves to be remembered as an ATG.
