Sean "Diddy" Combs was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering after a closely followed high-profile federal trial in New York City. He was convicted on two lesser prostitution charges.
The split verdict was read on Wednesday July 2.
He faces up to 10 years in prison after he was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
Had Combs been convicted on the charges of sex trafficking or racketeering, he could have spent the rest of his life in prison. Instead, it's relatively good news for the music mogul, who has spent the past several months behind bars and whose public reputation has taken a massive hit in the wake of the charges.

Exactly. We need to rethink the justice system in the U.S. There should be no jail time at all for victimless crimes - at most, community service or a trip to rehab. And we should bring back chain gangs for serious offenders. Why should the taxpayers pay for them to eat every day of their lives when they're perfectly capable of growing their own crops?

If we were to transition to alternative energy for our prisons (perhaps even allowing those who may get out someday to install it themselves, so that they'll have a valuable skill) and make them raise their own food, the only ongoing cost would be the labor of corrections officers.

That's one of the problems with sending nonviolent offenders to prison. Somebody goes in for a simple possession charge or something and comes out a hardened criminal with connections on the outside.

I hate the guy. I wish that the state had more evidence to convict Combs of sex trafficking and racketeering. But they didn't prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt. I knew this week's ago. I kept thinking, where is the evidence?? I'm hearing testimony about other crimes but not what he is being charged for.

Oh for sure. It ain't over yet. He is still accountable for all that other crimes he committed.
His career is over. It will be just like OJ Simpson. Yeah OJ was acquitted of double murder but after that, he career was over and he lost his fortune and respect.

Oh that nigga knows that all his dirty laundry being aired throughout the trial in front of the world has completely ****ed any prospects of a career within the music industry. That's why often during the testimonies, Diddy started having outburst about how some testimony shouldn't have been allowed because it was embarrassing for "his family" to hear.
But really he was just butthurt for himself.
When the **** hit the fan, Mr Tough guy who relished in the acts of humiliating other people, got all butthurt once he saw the legal repercussions of being caught.
