Prime Topanga around season 4 was definitely out of Corey's league physically. However, she ends up getting fat and bloated, and by the shows end, Corey's actually better looking than her.
Corey should have ended up with that Lauren girl he met at the Ski lodge

Aside from Angela,yeah Lauren did seem a more right catch.
I didn't write the show,but if I had Topanga would've married
Shawn and they'd be going to New York!

She liked his brillo pad hair.
Truthfully, Topanga and Shawn would have been boring. Pairing Topanga with the "inferior looking" guy with curly hair worked better for this show.
