His role in The Patriot was almost custom made for him.
But since he has a law degree, perhaps a court related drama. Put all his good knowledge to use.
But he was also great in Black Hawk Down. But I'm not sure most people recognized him.

Without a doubt, Javert in Les Miserables. I thought that from the first time I saw him in The Patriot. He would be a PHENOMENAL Javert..provided he can sing even a little better than Russell Crowe. lol

Sethos Emerson in the Amelia Peabody mysteries by Elizabeth Peters.
Lord Tessier-Ashpool in Neuromancer by William Gibson. I really want there to be a good film of Neuromancer.
And of course he would make a great Bond. Even now.
