Remember when you LOVED Jaime?

Uhmnope. I've never found the man to be any more than marginally amusing, and even then only very rarely. I've seen him on TV and in movies. IMO, he's just not particularly funny or clever.
I really don't understand how this guy still works in show business. Maybe I'm just too spoiled by the "funny" comedians and "talented" actors I see in other shows to appreciate his particular appeal. -

I agree with this comment wholeheartedly. He's as amusing as the class clown in highschool who tripped over himself for a few laughs. What once was good for a chuckle eventually begins to feel like rubbing sandpaper on a raw wound with a little rocksalt thrown in. Over time what you heard or saw isn't at all funny, but like verbal abuse to the ears, and daggers dipped in tobasco sauce for the eyes.

I never really cared for him one way or another. He wasn't terrible in
Son of the Mask
(the movie was piss awful, though). I enjoyed the Jamie Kennedy Experiment. I even liked him in
Scream
. THEN, he came out with a documentary so he could cry about nobody liking him. That was when I really started to dislike the guy.
In any job you are ever in, people are going to dislike you, they're going to want to beat the crap out of you, and they're going to want you to die. I experience it at my job, as I'm sure everybody on this thread has the same experiences. So, people on IMDb want him to die. So what? In any business, when you provide a product that many consider to be sub-par, people are going to gripe and complain. It's nothing against you personally it's just people being pissed off.
So, for him to feel like he's being treated unfairly when people suddenly don't like him after he churns out work that many seem to be sub-par, he's acting immaturely. I'm sorry, Jamie. You need to grow up.

I
still
love Jamie! He's cute & funny & seems like a really nice guy. I watch him every week on Ghost Whisperer & any time Malibu's Most Wanted & Kickin it Old Skool comes on I watch them as well as others (those are just my 2 faves). I've loved him since I 1st saw him in his JKX show.

I think it was around the time I saw footage of him hosting a gaming platform at E3 and he just bombed. The footage which you can watch on youtube is so embarassing to watch. The only joke he made was calling gamers a bunch of virgins and the rest was just akwardness. That performance should be on an episode of the Office.

I just saw his recent standup from the OC 2010 and it started pretty bad but ended up getting really funnybut not as funny as Janine Garafalobut he's still got talent, you can see it.
Is what Janine has over him is that she's funny just talking and he needs solid jokes to really shine. However, when he shines, he shines bright. Jennifer Love Hewitt likes himso I doubt he cares what normal peons think of him

The first time I saw Kennedy was in Scream as well. Really liked his character and thought he pulled it off with great acting. Then I caught one of his stand up shows and was totally blown away at how unfunny it was, mainly old and stale material; I don't recall laughing at all. And after seeing the documentary "Heckler", I saw that I wasn't the only one that thought that way. For me, it basically boils down to Kennedy being a decent actor if given decent material to work with, but needs to quit standup. I remember in Heckler he asked people if they were experts in the fields in which they criticized him, well I'm not a comedian, but I do know what makes me laugh. Put the dude in movies similar to, "The Hangover", "White Castle", or films where a quirky, humorous, nerdy character is needed and he'll nail it. Just my 2 cents.

I think that both Jamie Kennedy (see his Experiment) and Tom Green were amazing at crazy-character-based filmed improv prank comedy, but that neither has much range outside that. Would love to see more of that kind of thing from either or both of them, if someone would give them a platform, but I have no desire, for instance, to see another minute of Tom's stultifying and presumably cancelled home-based talk show.

I've always liked him. He is extremely kind and personable, and can be very charming in conversation.
I adored him when Scream came out, but let's keep in mind I was in like the 7th or 8th grade, and I have always had a thing for socially awkward nerds.
I thought films like MMW and KOS were funny in the same vein as the Wayans Brothers "White Chicks". Randomly humourous movies with exaggerated characters that most people qualify as guilty pleasure comedies.
Anytime I have been in a group setting where either of those movies were playing, people found them to be funny. However, altered states of mind were commonly present at the time of viewing. Haha.
I did like his character in Ghost Whisperer, but I would classify my absurd love of Ghost Whisperer to be one of my great shameful secrets.
I have seen his stand up in the past, but honestly can't remember my reaction to it either way, but seem to recall thinking by his disheveled appearance, he looked like he was either using recreational drugs or depressed. Just something about his energy seemed sad.
I still like him, however, I think he has a very down to earth quality which reminds me of guys that I have known in the past.
Forever the kind of goofy, kind of awkward, kind of socially unpredictable, kinetic guy that isn't always perceived the way he'd like to be. -

Maybe it's because he's one of the only performers to go out of his way to attack fans and critics who don't verbally fellate him for every single thing he does?
He insulted the fans at E3, he tried to conflate hecklers with critics who didn't like his movies (a sentiment shared by the vast majority of the public), and when he was told that he needs to curb his over-reactive behavior, he doubled-down.
His career tanked for a reason. It's not anyone's fault but his own, because people don't like watching a multi-millionaire cry like a petulant baby whenever he's criticized.
Everyone who ever loved you was wrong. -

I've never known this actor until I first watched him in
Ghost Whisperer
One month ago!
I love his character on the show.
I'm surprised to read comments saying that he's some kind of capricious diva. The interviews of him that I read here and there on the Net didn't make him sound like that. -

I was a big fan of his 10 years ago, I really liked The Jamie Kennedy Experiment. Malibu's Most Wanted and Kickin It Old School were okay. He redeemed himself a lot with Blowin' Up but then that whole incident happened and he fell off the radar. Last I saw him was on Entourage. Oh well. I guess he's still okay because his act never changes.

I used to like him and had a crush on him back in 10th grade. I loved "Malibu's Most Wanted," and I watched the "Jamie Kennedy Experiment" a couple of times. I thought he was funny and nice, but honestly, he's kind of a one trick pony. He usually just plays the goofy, unstable guy.
I saw him do some stand up where he got really angry at some woman in the audience. I don't even know what she said. She probably said something rude, but still, he came off as a big jerk to her. It left a bad taste in my mouth
I know he was in the "Ghost Whisperer" with Jennifer Love Hewitt. They dated for a while, and I was always confused on what she saw in him. I mean, he's mildly attractive, but she seemed like the type who would want a guy who's extremely put together and serious. (Not really a Jennifer Love fan, by the way). For some reason, their relationship felt like a PR stunt.
Anyways, so yes, I did like him, but he just isn't that attractive to me. I thought he used to be really hot, and he doesn't seem that talented or that nice. I don't know what's with him. He'll probably do some reality show in the future.
