I only looked this guy up to see if he did ANYTHING to redeem himself.
      Nope.
      He didn't.

I TOTALLY DISAGREE!!! Garry Marshall is EASILY one of the BEST directors ever! He has a formula in most of his films that works and heaps of people love them, thats why they become really popular

Here's a hard concept, those of the people who don't like what this director makes.don't watch what he makes! OMG, who would have thought of that??? I don't like chick flicks, but I love comedies, and Pretty Woman and a lot of his other films are a lot better than some of the crap that comes out of Hollywood today like Boogeyman, or Ladder 49 etc.

Alan Smithee doesn't exist, Ed Wood had to work for his money and there are people who like his films, unlike Garry Marshall.

enough said. Actually this guy has made more classics than lots of great filmmakers.

He seems like a great guy in real life. People have criticised his movies, sure he is no De Sica, but the guy makes watchable movies most of the time. I'm a straight 24 year old male, but I like films like Overboard and Princess Diaries. Pretty woman's ok too. There are so many directors out there who just churn out garbage constantly, plus Eddie Murphy is still making movies. He created Happy Days, lay off him.
