'Pretty Woman' is an example of Hollywood Bulls**t for the ages, but look at all the other junk this guy has madeRunaway Bride, The Princess Diaries, and Dear God was one of the worst pieces of junk ever put on celluloid. Anyone who has made this many romantic comedies deserves to be run over.

To you he's "Hollywood Bulls**t", to Hollywood he's gold. There are very few directors/produces with a track record like his. Pretty Woman was one of the most successful movies of all time, Runaway Bride, The Princess Diaries both made over $100 Million.
Romantic Comedies are tough to make- Woman want a Formula, but originality. Pretty Leading Lady (put still has girl next door quality), and chemistry with the male lead.
Like blockbuster action movies, they have been and always will be made. -

i strongly disagree i like the man hes great check the "A New Princess"
making from The Princess Diaries.
He has such a weird voice but i like him he makes me laugh:)

Here's a hard concept, those of the people who don't like what this director makes.don't watch what he makes! OMG, who would have thought of that??? I don't like chick flicks, but I love comedies, and Pretty Woman and a lot of his other films are a lot better than some of the crap that comes out of Hollywood today like Boogeyman, or Ladder 49 etc.

He seems like a great guy in real life. People have criticised his movies, sure he is no De Sica, but the guy makes watchable movies most of the time. I'm a straight 24 year old male, but I like films like Overboard and Princess Diaries. Pretty woman's ok too. There are so many directors out there who just churn out garbage constantly, plus Eddie Murphy is still making movies. He created Happy Days, lay off him.
