You hate democrats and republicans? You must hate a lot of people. Most people I know are one or the other. I don't exactly hate them for it.
And why is there something wrong with
    all
    of us?

I should not say all of you, but most of you think you're 100% right and that the other side has absolutely nothing to say. I'm more for bipartisanship, democrats and repblicans have good things to say, and that's what's important. If a democrat says something good a republican has to attack instead of recognizing what'sensible about it and vice versa.
And yes i do hate a lot of people.

That's a good point. I guess I have a bad attitude, but when it comes to politicians, I'm not keen on listening to either side. I'm not terribly mature and/or experienced but I still think that they're generally lying, regardless of what side they're on.

I don't trust politicians on either side, but i find it ridiculous that people would fight over these issues. Each side just tries to galvinize their base and people are so passionate about these ideas that they play right into the politicians hands. I meant to say that it's just a waste of time to argue about these issues because each side, left and right, uses polemical trash to divide the country and gain votes.

Reba does not hate america she is for the right wing party and she does support some things I would not but I just read a column on her and it said that she has stated that she will not support this president anymore due to the fact of lies the whole wire tapping thing (which I think is illegal) and obviously iraq which she supported going in but now she wants the troops back home. Reba says that once we went to Iraq i figured they would have a plan to get the troops back I was not expecting to be their for as long as we have. So your answer is she has with drew support of this president but not her party. But I think as a republican myself George bush is a dumb ass and I am a republican and I will say I would have rather had clinton as president I would rather see a guy getting a BJ than lieing through his teeth

That's what's wrong with the country today. People are too concerned about what party people are in instead of dealing with the issues at hand. Who gives a crumb what party the other person is in? The republicans are doing things just to make the democrats look bad and the democrats are doing things just to make the republicans look bad. If people put half of the energy they use in hating the other party instead in solving issues, we would have a lot more progress made.
Furthermoreno party is innocent or without blame. They're all corrupt liars and money whores in Washington if you ask me"For the people"? yeah, maybe a looooong time ago.
You can't change who people are without destroying who they were.

What I dislike about Reba is the way she attacks any other Country artist, like the Dixie Chicks just for being against Bush or the War. She accused Natalie of sticking her foot in her mouth just for speaking her views, and encouraged fans to boycott their music. By that logic, shouldn't I boycott Reba for being a Bush supporter if I dislike him? She sings thru her nose anyway.

I normally try to avoid discussions like this because they are rarely productive, but I couldn't resist.
First, I consider myself to be fairly far to the left of center, and I am not a fan of President Bush. I voted against the man twice. I don't think the man is evil, but I do think he is wrong about many things.
That being said, everyone has a right to his or her opinion. One of the best things about this country is our ability to speak our mind. Reba may have certain views that some consider right wing; unfortunately, she isn't hear to clarify her views or defend them.
Whether we agree with her politics or not, she is very talented, and we should be able to disagree with her politics and still respect her right to voice her opinions.
                                Best Wishes,
                                Fitz

My point is that When Reba made a stand in favor of George W. and the war, you didn't see a bunch of Left-wing Country fans boycotting her and refusing to play her music. The reason? Maybe because there aren't any. Or maybe there's a double standard for bad-mouthing liberal Presidents versus bad-mouthing Republicans.

We, the fans of traditional (read:older) Country Music, believe it is unpatriotic to say nasty things about a sitting president. Even if we disagree with his policies and actions, I feel the president should be given a measure of respect. I disagreed with going to war in Iraq, but I thought Maines' particular comments-in a foreign country, no less-were unprofessional, unpatriotic and downright not-Country

What about all the people who made fun of President Clinton when he was in the White House, calling him "Slick Willie" and every other kind of insult? How about the "Don't blame me I voted for Bush" bumper stickers? Were those unpatriotic? Why is Patriotism even necessary? Doesn't it really do more harm than good?
