Even though I preferred Jessica with Nick, I know that too much has passed between them for it to ever work out. I just feel like Jessica has settled for Eric. Maybe he's a good guy, but to me it was kind of odd that he separates from his wife and then gets with Jessica shortly after. Don't most men want another round of bachelorhood after their first marriage ending? Maybe I'm not right about that, that's just what I've seen.
I remember when Jessica was dating John Mayer, she looked pretty happy in those pics (even though you could tell he wasn't as happy lol). Or when she was with Tony Romo, you could tell she was very happy then too. I'm just not feeling it with this Eric guy. I think that Jessica was fed up with relationships not working out, and settled for Eric. Maybe she thought being with him was better than being single. I thought it was strange how Nick and Tony's wives are both having children at the same time as Jessica.

I think Jessica could have done better than Eric too. As for will it working out who knows. Eric really has nothing to lose in this relationship while Jessica does. It's not like Eric has m16d0oney or fame to worry about, Jessica does. Jessica is probably a nice person, just not easy to live with which is was she had to settle for a nobody like Eric. Hope it all works out for them since now they have a baby together.

I will be surprised if they even get married.
IMO, He is just using her for her fame and money.
and I believe her got her pregnant because he knew if he did he would eventually get some money out of her if they head into a custody battle.
So either way, Eric wins.
In an earlier magazine interview (circa 2000) Jessica said she is in love with love and I totally believe this is the case here.
You could tell how much in love Nick and Jessica were with each other. -

This Eric guy seems to follow Jessica around everywhere she goes. I guess he doesn't have a job. Jessica probably wanted to get pregnant since she's over 30 now and Eric quickly knocked her up because Jessica is his meal ticket.

Jessica not being married to Eric is more about she has money and lots of it while Eric doesn't and no job either. Jessica isn't going to marry the guy without a prenup, even moreso because Cali it a 50-50 divorce state without a prenup.
