What do you think of the Gung Ho album?

I borrowed a copy recently - I had never heard anything from it before - and some of it seems to be growing on me.
I get the feeling, too, that she seems to have more range in her voice than she did in some of her earlier work.

I love it. It is one of my favorites, although when it comes to "favorite Patti Smith albums" that is somewhat like picking a favorite child. Her voice has definitely gotten better in my opinion. She is deserving of all the accolades showered upon her.

It's not my favorite album, but it's not my least favorite either. The song I listen to most from Gung Ho is New Party, which I think is GENIUS.

Some of the songs I've been taken with are Lo and Beholden, Gone Pie, and Glitter in Their Eyes.
