I have know idea where they came from but without them I bet he wouldn't have played so many bad-guy characters I've scene him pop up in various movies.

Uuummm.childhood acne. You don't see younger people with scars anymore due to all the treatments that are available.
Kind of the same thing as your vaccination scar on your shoulder. Vaccination wasn't needed anymore for those born after a certain date (1980, or something)
