Was listening to the Radio yesterday afternoon, talksport.net, & I got a nice suprise. It was Charley talking about a whole host of things including Long Round & Long Way Way Down, as well as quite a bit about the Dakar. He was on for 5-10 mins. The presenters were asking him how he was feeling & he said he was really happy that he was able to make living out of something he enjoy's so much.
He also said his daughters are learning to ride dirt bikes @ the moment, so in a few years we might well see, "On Tour with the Boormans"! -

I read that Charley wants to do the Dakar again, but I also read that the Dakar Race has been cancelled, I think, for this year.
I also saw Charley on a program in Ireland. He talked about his two trips with Ewan and also a new one that he will be taking without his best mate, Ewan.
It's called "By Any Means"He will be going through what I would think to be dangerous places, like Pakistan Afghanistan and others.
I believe it is to happen this year.
