I always considered Louis CK a hilarious comedian and admired his honesty. But I will never laugh at a joke about child

Here's the thing. This is not the first joke he's made about child molestation. He used to to a bit about how child molesters should be let go if they return the kids so they don't feel like they need to kill the kids.
So when he says that child molestation must be better (to a child molester) to anything else in life, better than anything that we like, then it shows him again trying to get us to see the point of view of a child molester.
One-off joke? Fine? Series of jokes? Creepy. I'm not saying he's a child molester or anything but he he keeps it up he will definitely seem to be a borderline apologist in my eyes.
And you should care obviously, if a guy rapes a kid. Because that affects the kid. It's not a victimless act like homosexuality. And someone that screws animals? Whatever, but I don't want that guy living in my neighborhood, cause that's just sick. -

Just watched the opening.
I thought it was hilarious - and he
has
done similar jokes. Hell, he's done jokes about the subject (as noted above) that a lot of people would have considered far more offensive.
I'm guessing the F/X crowd is a little thicker-skinned than the SNL (see: major network) crowd.
Just my $0.02.

Honestly, it didn't bother me that much, because I am thick skinned and have seen all his stuff, and am totally used to shock comedians. But I can see how Joe Blow popping on SNL as a night cap might be offended by this. My only fear is that this episode will end up on the "banned" list. That tends to happen if a network show gets a lot of complaints. My guess based on media reaction is that it probably will.
There was a Tony Danza episode way back, where in one skit the characters kept saying "funkin' A" which of course in the context sounded exactly like "f_ckin A". This show got banned from repeats. In the same show there was a skit with Tony Danza and Julia Sweeny where she played a psycho girlfriend that I've been dying to see again but I can't. There was a point where she got into the role so much that the audience gasped because it got too real. Now I can't see it because some juvenile joke got passed the censors.
