More like 5'6". If you watch the PF when he is standing next to Shirley (who is 5'5") they appear to be about the same height.
I saw him in person at a bookstore in Pasadena, CA when he was promoting his book, and was surprised to see how short he was.

I remember on the Partridge Family they mentioned how he used to wear heels becuase he was shorter than Susan Dey.

I heard that his official height is 5'7 1/2", even tho the teen magazines always said 5'8".
I saw him on the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Marathon a few years ago. He sang and then talked to Jerry for a short time. Jerry Lewis is 5'7" and David was slightly taller than him. So I guess 5'7 1/2" is about right.
Also he was with his daughter at a function a while back. She is 5'7", but I think she was wearing heels, so she looked taller than her father. She gets the tallness from her mother.

He is probably closer to 5'4! I met him a few years ago at Harrah's Casino and was honestly SHOCKED at what a little man he was! I am 5'7 and towered over him, plus he looked like he weighed maybe 110 lbs!!

I had a picture taken with him a few times and I am nearly 5'4 and he was taller than me. Also I have heard through the woman that runs one of his fan clubs that he weighs 135-140.

That is useful information because I would have guessed that David is actually taller than that, probably because the little kids in the band are not any taller than pre-teens.
