Did she really say this to McDowell before shooting that scene?

Apparently it's true. She was a feisty lady, and very hot too.
I thought it was pretty funny to give Kubrick a pair of red socks for Christmas, to remind him of all she was dressed in at the end of the Singin in the Rain scene. It's a real pity Kubrick destroyed all the takes and retakes of that scene. What a special features DVD it would have made if he'd kept them. I can only dream about it.
It was sad to read that she'd died, but I guess she'll live on in her films, Clockwork Orange will ensure she has a kind of immortality as that scene will never be forgotten. -

it's prob true because MM said it happened in the Clockwork commentary
whether she's fiesty or not she's an actress doing that kind of scene in the first place so she woudln't exactly be shy about it would she???
