Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Adrienne Corri

    HelenaHatcheese — 15 years ago(October 21, 2010 11:29 PM)

I met Ms. Corri many years ago in London (she was a friend of an acquaintance). She was no-nonsense and down-to-earth. The term 'working actress' was coined for her. I remember we discussed the pitfalls of acting and she said any job that paid well was a good job. I then asked her about working with the greats like Lean, Kubrick, Preminger. She smiled and said "That's First Cl5b4ass and they are few and far between".
I suspect Adrienne socked away a little 'jam money' as she called it in order to enjoy her retirement. We're all poorer for it but I'll bet she's traveling and doing the things she always wanted to do.
    Viva Adrienne Corri!!!
