Actually, he's my grandfather's cousin and most of our family lives in Texas, but it's been a really long time since I've seen him and dont know much about him. I'll find out what he did before he got into acting. My family didn't even know he was still making movies, but my mom found a picture of him on the Herbie: Fully Loaded set. I seriously didn't even know the he played blue in Old School, but it's exciting. I only knew he was in the origional Bonnie and Clyde movie and in a Crispix commercial a long time ago. hehe. I'll post more later

Patrick or "Joe Pat" lives in S. Cali most of the time. He visits Texas on occasion. He is a cousin of my mother's husband that she married back in November 2003. He was at their wedding in Mabank TX. As I live near Chicago, I wasn't able to make it there in time. We have wedding pictures of him there. And my brother asked him to autograph a publicity still for me.
On a tragic note, Just very recently, Joe Pat's son killed four people, and then himself, it the little town of Sash TX, near Paris. He needed care and didn't, or wouldn't, get it. He got into an argument with a minister & deacon of a nearby church, then shot two women passing by. Then he went home & barricaded himself in his home with a SWAT team outside. He apparently killed himself. Joe Pat was in Canada filming a movie at the time. I don't know who broke it to him, or when. Probably his daughter in Cali. -

He was a bricklayer back in the day and when he went to Hollywood sometime in his 40's, his family stayed in texas. 2 boys and a girl. one born without a hand. Most of my family hasn't seen him since he left except for one uncle.

any reason why imdb didn't write a little news article for him? seems a bit off that they write about the most trivial matters, and yet he didn't get any sort of recognition from them when he passed.
I mean here it is about 5 days later, and not even a heads-up from imdb. just seems.. sad like he didn't really matter
..great actor..
