How does somebody like this keep getting the funds to make movies? I ask that question out of genuine curiosity and only a little jealousy!

His more recent movies all look extremely micro-budget. (I can't imagine most of his recent films have cost more than a couple grand a piece and that's just to pay the actors for the day or two they're needed.)
I'm assuming he's made enough in the past that he can self-finance and self-distribute the films, and he's obviously found a niche market in terms of cute-animal movies and homoerotic thrillers. He probably spends a couple grand making a film, and then self-releases it and makes back double, triple or more of his investment. If you only spend a couple grand, it's pretty easy to turn a profit, especially if like him, you've cornered a niche market. He's turning out at least a few films a year, so he's got a good thing going in terms of business.
And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?
