Well you Americans seem to think the only British accents that exist are cockney "alright guv'nor" etc, and very Posh queens english style lol. She has a regional English accent - and I think a pleasant speaking voice. Some of the accents I've heard from American actors trying to do British accent are just terrible! They hurt me inside looool. She is considered very attractive over here - was one of the top 10 in FHM's "100 sexiest Women" a few years back over here (the original and British version of the magazine I mean). But then agen American female presenters are usually painfully fake and just there to talk evenly and look pretty - over here we like them to have a bit of character to boot. She was a HUGELY successful presenter here in the UK before she went stateside - so she has plenty to fall back on if you yanks reject her lol.

Oh so rude to are American Cousins
Anyway Cat Deeley's accent is not an accent anyone in the UK would have if they had not been to Drama School
Not really annoying voice wise, not against some of the girls I have met with there squeaky voices -

I think its the way she speaks out of place. I really dont care that "I beleive that was one of the funniest things i have ever heard on this show!!!" when someone makes the audience laugh yes, it was funny. thats why we're laughing. we dont need you to explain it to us

It is entirely incorrect to say "least votes". Read and learn: http://www.edufind.com/english/grammar/Determiners8.cfm

I bet none of you who said she was horrible have ever had to well let's see stand up infront of a couple of hundred people and know that MILLLIONS will be watching, and be funny, witty, and sincere all at the same time. Granted that most of her lines are probably scripted still she has to do things off the cuff too, and still does very well. And her outfits with the exception of 2 have been fantastic and very fashion forward. As for her looks, she's very beautiful.. I'm sure probably a lot hotter than any of you! Now that I've been a bitch
Has anyone else thought she looked like she was a little pregnant in a couple of outfits? -

Cat has a 'brummie' accent which is what people from UK's second city Birmingham all have including me. Some peoples are worse than others obviously, but with people from the West Midlands its mainly the tone of voice you pick up and its really hard to get rid of. Her voice doesn't come accross as annoying to me but thats because we're from the same area that accent is normal for me, where as i find the liverpudlian, geordie and mancurian accent irritating.

Black Country accent is totally noticable. Whereas i don't think i (a 5b4Brummie) have much of an accent. It's all down to tastes. I personally love the Northern accents (in particular Mancunian and Liverpudlian).

Yeah i agree with that the black country accent is really strong, but i still think Brummies have an accent that would be noticable to people outside of Birmingham.
