Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Pam Ferris

I don't think I've every bawled so hard at the death of a tv character than I did for Sister Evangelina. Pam Ferris was so amazing as her. Brilliant actress! She was my favorite on the show.

LOL when she was coming off the boat in the first season - don't pat my head!

I really enjoyed her gruff but caring portrayal. So sorry to lose her from this program.

I went through three tissues in that episode. I was bawling and kept saying no, no. The show won't be the same without Sister Evangelina/Pam Ferris. I have some consolation, since I just purchased Rosemary and Thyme; Ferris' work in that program charmed us, as well.
