especially the expressions on Gene and Paul's faces when Ace steals the show
I always though Ace was the most charismatic of the group

From wikipedia: On their television appearance on Tom Snyder's "Tomorrow" show, an inebriated Ace starts to raise his arm in a Nazi salute but gets a stern warning from Simmons: "Don't do it.!!"
I couldn't spot this. Where exactly does it happen?

It's towards the end of the interview on the second URL link posted in the first message. Ace is talking about his remote control helicopters and how he was currently having difficulty with his Japanese model and that he prefers the ones the Germans made. Immediately after making that comment Ace looks mischievously into the camera and starts to make the Nazi salute. Not only did Gene warn him, but Peter also mumbles "Don't you dare." Like a little kid trying to play innocent, Ace giggles "What? I'm not doing anything." It's pretty fun.

Yeah they do, and thats saying something when you can tell by their facial expressions that they are pissed(wearing the makeup). Both Gene and Paul are jewish, and with Ace doing the Nazi salute, I'd be a little pissed too. Although I don't think Ace meant anything by it, he was just smashed.

According to one of Gene's books (forget which one), Ace used to get drunk and bait Gene all the time with the Nazi crap. Admittedly you need to take anything Gene says with a grain of salt, but it certainly sounds in character for Ace, and even from the book it doesn't sound like genuine anti-Semitism or anything, just messing with him (albeit in a way that's way over the line, especially if you're doing it to someone whose mom is a Holocaust survivor).

Ace used to dress up in a nazi uniform back in the late '70's when he was backstage. I've also seen a picture in which Paul Stanley is also wearing a nazi uniform and standing next to similarly dressed Ace, that was weird!

I can't stop watching this! I just FF to the parts with Ace. At least he had Peter to laugh with. He just makes this interview- and he seems like a genuinely nice guy. Someone you would want to hang out with. Gene on the hand seems to need some laxative

I never get tired of watching it. It's funny as hell.
I LOVE Tom Snyder so watching him interact with a far past wasted Ace was great.
