Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Alex Garland

I came across what I believe is a writer's blog, and it had this unofficial list of the "hottest scripts of the 2007"; scripts that are making the rounds in Hollywood, presumably (some of which have been made and will come out this year, others that haven't gone into production yet).

Anyway, listed is a screenplay called "Never Let Me Go" by Alex Garland. I'm assuming this is an adaptation of the recent bestselling novel by Kazuo Ishiguro, which is very exciting. Does anyone have any info on this project?

The title page of that script by Garland does say "Adapted from the novel by Kazuo Ishiguro," so there ya go.
No mention of the project is made on either Garland's or Ishiguru's page on IMDBpro.
      That's all I gots.
(and thatnks for the surprise shout out that "writer's blog" you mention is mine!

Hey, cool blog! And thanks for the info. It also says that the studio behind the script is Fox Searchlight. I wonder if this means there's a director attached? Danny Boyle would seem like the obvious choice, since Garland has collaborated with him a few times now.

I think it could be possible because it seems Danny Boyle won't have a project once he is finished Slumdogs although he almost forsure has something that he just hasnt announced yet.
