How could all 3 of them be found dead? He was 96 I believe. But his wife was much younger. And why the dog? Carbon monoxide poison? You would think they would have all sorts of detectors. They're not suspecting foul play, but….all three of them died?
Hackman and Arakawa were found dead Wednesday afternoon at their home in Santa Fe, N.M. The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office confirmed their deaths to Variety, noting that there was no immediate indication of foul play. No immediate cause of death could be given. Hackman was 95 and Arakawa was 63.

I hate to say this, but a part of me is curious if we're going to see a number of peculiar deaths due to the Epstein list being released today, but then to read about all three of them passing? It makes me wonder if they all wanted to go together. I mean,
even the dog?
Come on. This is really peculiar.
The only "no foul play" aspect I can think of, providing toxicology proves nothing and there are no marks on all three bodies, is the carbon monoxide theory. But usually there are alarms for that sort of thing. The dog?! Even the
dog?!

New info has been released. One dog found dead, but 2 dogs (?) were alive. Front door was open with no signs of forced entry. His wife's body was found surrounded by pills on the floor (in the bathroom, I think, along with one of their dogs). She had apparently been dead a while based on the state of her body.
It's been determined that there were no gas leaks, no carbon monoxide.
I'm still trying to get caught up on what's being released.

I caught the same news Lilith, mummification to Betsy's hands and feet apparently. That's usually around 2 weeks in a hot and dry environment.
The dogs would have eaten her by then (Which it doesn't look like they did) and so I'm guessing Gene went about his business for a while after his wife's death and then died with his door open for whoever after a fortnight.
All speculation but the mummification does seem to indicate Betsy was dead for a long while

Yep. That's what I just read as well. I thought there was something about her being in the bathroom with one of their dogs (the one that died), and perhaps their other dogs were outside of the house which is why they didn't go for the bodies? I really don't know as the news is pretty standard and then I just occasionally read these odd little updates. I'm curious about the broad reference to "pills" being scattered around her body. Did the dog eat her meds or get to them? Did something fall and hit her on the head?
Two weeks is what was mentioned, and that they hadn't been seen for a few weeks, so someone went to check on them or else we'd still be wondering. So much information is still speculation at this point.

I just got home and logged in to see this on my feed, so I just found out.
He was such a fantastic actor. Love his works.
I'm still thinking carbon monoxide or something, especially to take out the entire family including the dog.
