What an entitled, elitist fool.

She's OK and Gosling and Clooney are actually pretty good actors, but their politics is completely irrelevant to their acting. If it's tiresome that liberal actors talk about their politics all the time, it's even more tiresome that conservative douchebags constantly complain about it. Clint Eastwood is a Republican and talks to empty chairs, but he's still an iconic actor and great director. I could care less about any actors political beliefs.
Besides. I don't like listening to the political beep of ANY highly partisan blowhard, but at least actors have something else going for them unlike Rush Limbaugh, Rachel Maddow, michael Moore, Ann Coulter, ad infinitum. -

It beats having to hear she is 1/23 Navajo, 3/11 Apache blah blah like it validates she is a purer American than other Americans.
She descends from Holland, Europe. Seriously the roots of people did not start in 1776 ROFL. The distance between her and Bush is big. As for elitist, you are not born an elitist, you become one in your own right.
Lord Percival Booyhroyd-Carruthers the 17th Earl of Dartmouth went to a posh school because his father was the 16th
Earl, he had no acumen to enter the school honestly but he got in. After he left he went to Oxford University despite having no qualifications, he was an Oxford Blue, a privileged fraternity and he was in the famous boat races while there. On leaving Oxford with a masters degree despite barely being able to write a page of text, he joined the army and climbed the ranks to General in just five years, despite having seen no action in person. He was a world renowned junky from his school days until the day he retired from the army as a 4 star general on his 28th birthday and on it went Please tell me what is elitist about that?
He achieved nothing and therefore cannot be deemed elite at anything. How people respond to him has nothijng to do with elitism, none of them like him, they just suck up to him and those around him to get on in life.
If he went up to any one of the millions of 'normal' people who have no reason to suck up to him or even show false respect how elite will he feel when they tell him what they think of him?
You see, a true elitist is universally elite with an elitism which spans across all social classes and which command respect from all. This the definition of Elitism.
You seem to mistake privilege with elite. A man passing the Delta or SEAL entry requirements are Elite. A man who buys himself into Delta or the SEALs is what? -

The Gyllenhaals descend from Swedish nobility - they are also Ashkenazi Jews. Surely t5b4he boot-faced, screechy voiced, vain old hag would've been told so - since it's all over the internet.
How else is she employed as an actress - talent? Her looks? Of course not! -

I would be devastated if i found out i was related to the Bush family, any awake person who is not a damn sheep would feel that way, it would be like being related to Hitler the only difference is the Bush family managed to brainwash so many people in to thinking that they were actually good people when in fact they are the real terrorists and were just as bad as Hitler but they justified their mass murder through complete propaganda and blatant lies that people with out a single thought for them selves lapped up.

This reminds me of Ben Affleck and his attempts to ban a 'who do you think you are' type programme that revealed that his forefathers were slave-holders.
That said, Maggie Gyllenhaal is half-Jewish, so even if part of her family heritage is elite and establishment, the other half has had its experience of oppression and tragedy.
