the story of the life of famed religious leader Norman Vincent Peale! Except for a pretty corny early scene between DON MURRAY and a young VERONICA CARTWRIGHT, this film holds up quite well, and is surprisingly watchable! DIANA HYLAND is customarily outstanding as Peale's wife, and greatest champion! It is well worth purchasing for anyone who may be curious about the film!

Thanks for the recommendation. I will definitely seek it out. There is just something fascinating about Diana Hyland. I guess, like myself, everyone who checks out her bio on IMDB.com believes she's an underrated actress who left an interesting body of work. What other movies or television appearances of hers do you like?

NotSlow, one especially strong appearance of Ms. Hyland's (which I've already posted about under a different entry on this site) was as socialite 'Grace Renford' in a 1964 (which was a good year for Ms. Hyland, both creatively and aesthetically) ALFRED HITCHCOCK HOUR episode titled "Beyond the Sea of Death"! The episode co-starred MILDRED DUNNOCK (who was equally amazing in it), and JEREMY SLATE (who surprised me by turning in a performance that was quite good!) Frequent Hitchcock collaborator, and just-in-general legendary film scorer BERNARD HERMANN did some hauntingly beautiful music for this ep! The show presents Ms. Hyland at a time where one would be hard-pressed to think of another time when she was as hypnotically, classically beautiful as she was here, and her emoting was BEYOND amazing (except for one brief moment of what seemedto mecampy dramatic excess, when she informs Ms. Dunnock "I don't think that I shall listen to you anymore!") LOLhope you'll seek out the ep to see what I'm talking about!)
