Those people weren't well-known then. Many of them were building careers and hadn't become household names yet: James Coburn, Charles Bronson, Elizabeth Montgomery, Robert Redford, James Best, Warren Oates, etc. The majority were unknowns or little-knowns. That's why it's especially amazing to view this series and others of the Fifties and Sixties.
By the way: The Best/Jackson episode is "The Last Rites of Jeff Myrtlebank", which has been one of my favorites since the first airing.
*** The trouble with reality is there's no background music. ***

It was more than coincidence she was in the "The Last Rites" episode, her father wrote and directed it.
Strange that he didn't get her in the episode "Two" (which he also wrote)that had Elizabeth Montgomery as I've thought that Sherry and Elizabeth looked much alike, and since the episode had little dialog, especially from the female lead role, it couldn't have been for lack of acting chops.
