Really, folks. How the hell did she get hired? I thought that was an act until I heard her speak out of character. She really is that dumb. There's no question there. THe only question is why would SNL hire her? She doesn't really look dumb (not back then anyway) before she opened her mouth, but there had to be an interview process.

Over the years, SNL has made a lot of dumb casting decisions. Even whole seasons (1980, 1985) brought the show down to its knees thanks to the majority of failures in the cast. As for Victoria Jackson, she had an easy job: play herself an idiot. She did it well.
