Bruce Jenner still has his Cock. It's his mind that he has lost.

How about a female who's had a hysterectomy and cannot menstruate or reproduce? Does that make her any less of a woman?
If Jenner did indeed have the surgery, while the testicles were excised, the skin is used to create the labia folds. Before SRS they need FULL electrolysis. Everywhere. And I DO mean everywhere because as Nettie pointed out, the penis is sliced into sections, the urethra is saved and tucked up and through. A cavity is created above the perineum region and the penis is inverted, while the tip of the penis is used to create a functioning clitoris so the nerve endings remain intact.
A MTF transgender cannot self-lubricate, but many women cannot self-lubricate either for various reasons, whether it's age, medications, or the glands behind the vulva are not functioning (or stimulated enough).
Men don't lubricate their anuses and need to use artificial lubricant, so I really don't see why that's a problem. There are suppositories that can be inserted so that it will "feel" like automatic, normal lubrication to help with spontaneity.
It's more like a rearrangement of tissues.
^^ This video is an illustration, and does not show any real surgical procedures or real human results. No sound.

An anus is not a vagina. No one pretends it is. I've also had partners who don't use lube. It's not always necessary. But a real vagina lubricates. The point here is that doctors cannot splice and dice and concoct a facsimile as good as a real vagina or comparable to the penis they've just mutilated.
So they use the skin off a guy's balls? Wonderful, waste not want not. But they throw away the testes, the most important determinant of biological sex.
My position here is that sex change operations are perhaps the worst sort of oppression against transgender people. These doctors are forcing people to conform their body to a social gender role. I thought this was supposed to be about people being allowed to be themselves? They are their body. Nobody is trapped in the wrong body. How holistically stupid. That's an insane analogy which reminds me of that sad guy who thinks he's an alien.

But just like "gay marriage," no one is "forcing" SRS on any transgender person. But why not make it available, a choice, for those people who want it, those who will feel more comfortable with the full transition?
If a trans person does not want SRS, they are perfectly free to NOT get it done and to continue to live their lives however they want.
If a trans person DOES want SRS, they are perfectly free TO get it done and to live their lives however they want.
There ARE people who accept a trans female with a penis as a female. You said yourself when thinking that Jenner did not have SRS, you referred to her as a him (didn't you? Or was that someone else? I'm losing track, as you and I have had these particular debates since we very first 'met' each other). Until or unless society accepts a trans person as their gender without regards to their genitals, it will never help in encouraging one to "accept" their body.
But I want to make it perfectly clear, I am pro-choice. IF someone has a desire to have SRS in order to feel complete with their identity, they should feel just as free to have the surgery if that is their choice.
Their body, their choice. And they are making a choice which affects their own body and no one else's. It is not the same as FGM being done to Muslim girls or circumcision being done to male infants, all by the parents' choices.

She's a girl so it's understandable. She's been a girl starting at a very young age

Yes, I'm familiar with Jazz. She has a TV series too, doesn't she?
That's what I'm referring to. It's not for everyone. In particular, female-to-male is extremely difficult as they use tissue from the forearm or back or thigh to form a makeshift penis which doesn't resemble a natural penis. Male-to-female is far more successful but nothing is without risk.
There are legitimately people who need the surgery to feel complete for their identity, and there are others who don't really care.
This was an excellent movie:

So should someone with body integrity disorder be allowed to cut off a healthy limb?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_integrity_dysphoria
Should that "alien" guy be allowed to have all his sexual organs removed?
https://www.catersnews.com/stories/real-people/young-man-spends-50000-to-look-like-alien-and-plans-to-have-genitalia-removed/
Should the medical establishment perform any surgery desired by anybody if it's unnecessary for their health?
You didn't address that the medical establishment is performing surgery on people to make them conform to social gender roles. I've also seen stats that about 40% of post-op transsexuals attempt suicide.
Can mentally ill people with body dysphoria make a decision of informed consent?

But WHY? WHY are they attempting suicide? The rate of suicide has always been particularly high amongst gay individuals. The figures, I do hope, are declining, as being gay is less "offensive" and people are finally beginning to understand it's totally normal.
Just like that trailer I posted for
Kidnapped For Christ
, where parents have their kids kidnapped and brought to the D.R. for "camp", or to "conversion therapy," or send them to a "mental hospital," or have them chemically castrated… how about forcing them into the military to "make a man" out of 'em?
My male cousin is gay and I knew he was since he was about 4 years old or so. (I also knew my sexual orientation by the time I was around 4). Thing is, his father divorced his mother, and kicked his son out of his life, and we're not allowed to even ask about him, because he's
(in hushed whispered tones)
ho-mo-seckshual, the little ******!
Pray the gay away. Whip off the belt and beat the gay away. Shame the gay away. How about, "oh it's just a phase" and the always popular, "that's NOT how you feel!"
We don't know the circumstances. We don't know if it's because of 20 or 30 years of being bullied, invalidated, beaten, not loved or accepted for who you really are, maybe it's because you don't get the surgery,…
Not that long ago, and in places even today, it's illegal to even BE gay, punishable by death. And you wonder why people kill themselves? What a life to live!

Haha! See? SEE? That'll learn ya! You just never know when an ongoing debate, and a civil one at that, will ensue. Oh no, it's anarchy! Civil discourse! Beware!

Sure, transsexuals are vilified in our society so of course they will have higher rates of suicide. But you're saying that genital surgery is supposed to solve the problem. But even after they have the genital mutilation they desired, they're still dissatisfied. Something tells me the problem is not with their bodies. Perhaps they should try an age old remedy and just accept their body as it is like the rest of us do.

Imagine being trapped your entire life in a prison? That is what I am imagining this must feel like.
It's a lot like PTSD: The "damage" is done earlier on, but even after the brutality or trauma stops, one still experiences symptoms in the present moment. You simply do NOT tell someone to "just suck it up" or "just get over it" or "just accept it" or JUST anything at all. That is not how any of this works.
Whether it's someone who's traumatized through childhood abuse, or combat trauma (oh wait, I just remembered your viewpoint here too), or a rape (oh wait, I remembered that too),… or how about POWs (hmm, this isn't working is it?)….In reality, founded in science, one does not simply get to gloss over trauma. MOST people can get through it okay, BUT we cannot deny those who are deeply affected.
For many people, there's so much damage attached to the trauma of being trapped, that there's bound to be problems down the line. That's why I'm heavy in support of things like therapy and psych evals, etc.
Surgery may actually be the answer for some individuals. Not all, but some.

We're not talking here about someone with trauma or a physical defect. We're talking about people born with healthy bodies who for some reason or another can't accept themselves and their bodies.
It's as if a guy is 5'6" and wishes he was 6 feet tall. My advice to that guy is learn to love yourself and appreciate what you have.
I finally watched that video of a male-to-female sex change you posted. It sickened me that doctors are actually cutting up healthy human genitalia like that.
There is no such thing as a wrong body. You are your body. Accept yourself.

— 6 years ago(July 15, 2019 07:48 PM)Our bodies are just a shell.
Why would someone like Jazz, who was so little, feel she's a girl instead of the boy's body she was born with?
Caitlyn suppressed who she was almost her entire life as to not upset others.
She immersed herself in athletics and became an Olympic Gold Champion! She had a nice, masculine body but she didn't want that body, she wanted her body, a body to match her mind and heart
