#1: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
#2: Adaptation
#3: Being John Malkovich
#4: Synechdoche, NY
#5: Human Nature
I've seen "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" (I even own it on DVD) but since Kaufman disowned it I'm not gonna rank it. If you look at his level of involvement in the Gondry and Jonze movies you can understand why he felt differently about "Confessions" but it's still a good movie though. -

Seriously? YOu thought BJM was only a 2/5?
i know you're not likely to comment on this since it's been a few years, but if you do I want to hear your reasoning.

- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- Being John Malkovich
- Adaptation
- Synecdoche
I didn't think Synecdoche wasn't bad- i really didn't. But i can honestly say i don't ever want to see it again. ESOTSM is #1 without doubt.

I've never seen Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, so here's my ranking.
- Eternal Sunshine
- Synecdoche
- Being John Malkovich
- Adaptation
- Human Nature
Although, if going by screenplay, it would be like this: - Adaptation
- Eternal Sunshine \really
- Synecdoche / close
- Being John Malkovich
- Human Nature

- Abaptation (could easily be one of the best films ever made. ever. i'm surprised about only one no.1 spot?!)
- Human Nature (tie)
- Eternal Sunshine (tie)
- Synecdoche, NY (too pretentious)
- Being John Malkovich (insanely original, but still had something missing)
and Confessions is quite good, but i wouldn't know where to squeeze it in exactly, different than the rest

- Synechdoche, New York
- Adaptation
- Confessions of a Dangerous Mind
- Human Nature
Charlie Kaufman is a god. He creates the kinds of movies we come out of most movies wishing we'd seen. All of his work, even Human Nature, is brilliant.
