I really wish Kermode would actually reveal exactly what he thinks of 3-D movies.

He does bang on about it a lot, like a nagging uncle, but if he's annoying you that much, no one's forcing you to listen to him

        That's a fair point.
The thing is, I think Mark Kermode is great and one of the best film critics in the country. I admire his passion and knowledge of all things cinema. Through him I've discovered some great films and re-appreciated some old films I'd all but forgotten about. I love hearing his reviews on Five Live, but, as mentioned on these boards, he spends so much time going off on irrelevant tangents (often encouraged by Simon Mayo) that they frequently have to squeeze in reviews in the last few minutes.
Perhaps if he didn't spend so much time repeating his opinions about 3-D, grammar and saying "hello" to various people, there'd be more time for a proper film review show.
So, point taken, and no doubt I'll be 'tuning in' next week!

Nobody is forcing me to listen - I enjoy the show for what it does wellhowever nobody is forcing me to pretend that every email about a jogger is entertainment gold either.
Didn't state/imply that, but you've made a fair few posts complaining and you're getting as repetitive as Mark is!
I simply skip over what I don't care for, as they don't seem to be really noting any critique made on here.

As has been said Mark is pretty passionate about cinema and its evident in his reviews. And that passion certainly can get him all riled up about things he hates about it. Love it when he rants though lol.

He thought 3D was good in Gravity and The Walk - but that's about it. He likes the new Laser Projection System for IMAX 3D - and thinks that might solve the brightness loss problem with 3D.
