I'd say it'd be a fair assessment to say Through the Fire is easily my favorite, not that that is to put down the other songs, but yeah that song is real special to me, you know how it is with some songs and stuff. Anyways good to see you like it as well, tell me did you like what Kanye West did to it with his sample? I thought it was alright but didn't do Chaka's voice a lot of respect.

She is indeed a tough act to follow. It takes a lot of nerve to even attempt to so much as rehearse a song she has already done let alone release it for the public to hear. Whitney Houston did a good job with her remake of "I'm Every Woman" some years past.
A voice like Chaka's is extremely rare and even with the voice, her personality, confidence and sausiness is so unique it enhances the overall affect of her appeal. Almost impossible to recreate.

Hey Clutch!!!
I love it! I think Prince wrote this for her and Stevie Wonder is playing the harmonica on this song. Yall correct me if I am wrong. All three of them performed it on the BET awards a few months ago. Did you see it? I was on the edge of my seat watching these 3 legends and my favorites together on stage!
