Just bought Madonna's True Blue album at the record store today! I am such a huge fan of her! I bought her Madonna album 4 years ago and I bought her Like A Virgin album two years ago!
Love this badass chick! She doesn't give a f-ck what people think and even gave a racy performance in a wedding dress for her Like A Virgin MTV Awards performance! How many females could get away with doing something so controversially shocking in 1986? Also, the guy who said that Madonna will be a one hit wonder in 1982 must be hiding his face in shame as it is 1986 and not only is she STILL highly relevant, she got even BETTER in those four years!
Drake is repetitive. He just raps the same thing over and over as if he is in an insane asylum!LOL:D -

I am not feeling this Janet Jackson chick. She is a good dancer but not that great of a singer. She looks too much like her brother but she is kinda chubby while her brother is very skinny. Not feeling it but maybe I should give it another chance.

Queen Janet - LMFAO. Isn't that James DeBarge ex wife ? Slept with him and used her family connection to get ahead in music and oh she records in Minneapolis to be cool like Prince? Oh please. At least Madonna made it on her own. True Blue is selling like crazy world-wide. I am not seeing Janet topping the album charts in over 20 countries like True Blue is doing. -

To be fair, Control is a great album. Janet stepped out of her family's shadow and struck it out on her own. People are saying she is almost as popular as Michael.
Control has SASS in it with sassy hits such as Control when she boasts about being an adult now in control of her own life, Nasty is about wanting guys to give her respect, What Have You Done For Me Lately is about her being tired of her boyfriend's trifling ass, The Pleasure Principle is about her not wanting to be tied to her trifling boyfriend, and Let's Wait A While is about her telling her (maybe new) boyfriend to wait until they are ready and deeper in love to have sex.
You Can Be Mine is a weak departure from the strong empowerment theme of the aforementioned songs. It is poppy and simple(A critic says,"A five year old could have written this song).
When I Think Of You is her first number one which is ironic as it has nothing to do with being a strong female. It is a poppy song about being in love, though it is much more coherent and much better than the simple YCBM. He Doesn't Know I'm Alive sounds a bit too young for Janet. She comes across like a 15 year old who has a crush on another 15 year old boy who doesn't know that she likes him.
A far cry from the strong female theme of Control, WHYDFML, Nasty, LWAW, and TPP. This song and YCBM would have fit more on her poppy Janet Jackson 1982 debut. Funny How Time Flies When You're Having Fun is weird. She MOANS on the song and talks about having "fun". It is definitely sexually tinged. It is a far cry from the strong female theme of most of the songs. Ironically it comes RIGHT AFTER the song she tells her boyfriend to wait for sex.

God have you guys seen Shanghai Surprise. Probably not, nobody is going to see it in cinemas. I got free tickets and there were only 2 people in the theater. OMG it was so bad, the movie is terrible. Madonna was fine in Desperately Seeking Susan but she's awful in this. It's even worse than Under the Cherry Moon and that movie was bad and sadly I actually paid money to see it. I should have waited for the VHS release.

In Off The Wall album, he was a nice milk chocolate complexion. Now in 1986 his skin color looks like a light caramel.. O.O What the f-ck is happening to his skin color? O.O In fact, I noticed his skin color gradually changing in Thriller. He was clearly about 1 or 2 shades lighter than Off The Wall. Now in 1986 he has went down about 3 more shades lighter than Thriller. So, he looks about 4 shades lighter than Off The Wall. At this rate, he will be looking albino in a few years!
