If it were as easy as hammering home correct thinking, there would be no need for antipsychotics. Schizophrenia can't be talked away or coerced away.
There is no cure for it and the only thing you can do is try to point out how her thinking or logic is flawed and offer her some sound advice. It's up to her if she chooses to listen to you or the voices in her head.
More often than not, she heeds the advice of the voices, but every now and again if approached the right way, she will listen to someone she trusts.

Ok, but it's frustrating. And I mean well. The constant self sabotage is painful when simple steps could lead her to having a decent life.
The only poster who made Steve Lake wet his pants 4 times without ever breaking a sweat each of those times.

That's just a part of her illness. If it frustrates you, it would probably be best to block her because it's not going to change.

Maybe they think that anyone with real-world experience dealing with the mentally ill has to be a doctor to speak on the subject I guess.

As long as they don't get out of hand with it, there's no harm done. If it starts crossing the line into more abusive behavior contact the admin.
