Thank you for reconsidering the film. It is interesting that you had such a different viewing experience when you revisited it recently. It's funny, I never really thought of myself as having played less of a superman character than the others did. That's actually something, for better or worse, that I didn't have much to do with. I think the element of luck is substantial with all the Bonds and OHMSS had much less of it than usual.
I was never satisfied with the editing during the fight scenes. I think we did a good job with the actual choreography though, and I'm glad that shone through the editing for you.
I also thought your list ranking the Bond films was interesting. I'd say I was about 50% on board with how you ranked them. I'm surprised that you would actually consider Tomorrow Never Dies to be better than OHMSS even if you are partial to Pierce. I'm not THAT biased against him myselfGolden Eye was fantastic and I liked Die Another Day for some inexplicable reasonbut felt the middle two Brosnan films were pretty forgettable. I also think FRWL should be much higher.

Thanks for the quick response! I successfully finished my Bond marathon on December 30th. Having seen them all now, I have reworked my Bond list. I don't know why, but I really like Tomorrow Never Dies. Part of it is because of Brosnan, and also because of actress Michelle Yeoh as Wai Lin and Jonathan Pryce as Elliot Carver. I consider myself a fan of both actors and they worked really well as bond girl and bond villain. The movie is pretty tacky, and sort of a rework of TSWLM; nonetheless it is fun and enjoyable. My tastes can change, but I'll definitely keep OHMSS on my top 10.
On a side note, in watching Diamonds are Forever, I was a bit disappointed in it. When Connery took the reins, your character arc as Bond was completely disregarded. No mention of Tracy and no Irma Bunt. Probably like millions of other fans, I wish you were in the follow-up of OHMSS. You're awesome and did something that no other actor who has played Bond accomplished, and that is humanize the character.
