Ten years ago I watched all the episodes of 'House of Elliot' and my favourite was Evangeline. I even identified myself to her. I was very sad when the show didn't continue.
A few years later one of my favorite tv shows was 'CSI' and I watched almost all the episodes of this show.
Only a month ago I accidentally discovered that Louise Lombard was the same person who played Evangeline and Sofia. What a shock that was for me! Every time I watched CSI I didn't recognize her!
What an excellent actress she is! -

Is Ms. Lombard's native accent british? If so I must find some prior work, so as to hear her speak naturally. She is fascinating and CSI seems so simple for her, but doing an american accent shows she has many facets to her talent!

Yes, her native accent is British. In The House of Elliott she was sporting a short and dark hairstyle (colour me surprised when I saw the pictures, as I don't watch CSI; perhaps I'll browse it just to see if she is in the episode shown) and I'm pretty sure that that (the dark hair) his her natural colour.
I only browsed this IMDB page because I saw a press release (from the British BBC) that she will star in a two-part crime drama this winter (with Lyndsey Duncan, from Rome fame). -

I used to watch The House of Elliot, too, and always wondered why I didn't see Louise Lombard in anything else. I mean, with her looks!
Then I watched Hidalgo, and like you, I couldn't recognise her at first. About halfway through it came to me: Evie. In Hidalgo she has long, blonde hair and has lost some of the "puppy fat", ie. her features are sharper somehow.
Haven't seen her in CSI (not my kind of show), but am glad she's got success in the States.
