Diane was to have a strong role in Richard Quine's Sex and The Single Girl which starred Natalie Wood, Tony Curtis, Lauren Bacall, Mel Ferrer, Henry Fonda, but quit and was replaced by Leslie Parrish. Quine was instrumental in
guiding another cool blonde Kim Novak to fame at Columbia and may have done as well for Diane at WB. Did Diane ever give a reason for quitting Sex and The Single Girl?
