That sucks that his part got cut out of Pulp Fiction! Quentin Tarantino took THAT out, but kept the POINTLESS scene where Rocky Dennis' wife talks about her stupid body piercings! WHATEVER!

Or when Butch's girlfriend rambles on and on about her paunch stomach "pot", or her "oral pleasure", or her "blueberry pancakes and five sausages".
Indeed, that motel part with Willis and de Medeiros has always been the part where the movie drags dead in its tracks for me.
Yet, yes, unbelievably, Tarantino chose to cut a bunch of Harvey Keitel's part, Dick Miller's entire cameo, which is a scene with Keitel and Miller together!!!!
Unbelievable when you look back at it.
On the special features, Tarantino introduces each deleted scene and gives it context. And even he says he really wishes that he had kept the Keitel and Dick Miller "Monster Joe" scene, as well as the Keitel and Sweeney scene in the junkyard, which gave the next shot context. Plus, Keitel would have been in the film a few more minutes that way, too.
I wish he'd kept all of that in, and shortened the scenes with Butch and his GF at the motel.
I still love it, though. -

Fabienne definitely was, with a doubt, the most annoying character in the whole movie. Usually when I watch the Pulp F5b4iction movie, I fast forward most of the scenes with her up to the point where Butch is looking for his watch. The real truth is that if you REALLY think about it, the scene from where Butch enters the hotel room (or her apartment? I don't remember) up to the point where he's looking in the duffle bag for his watch can be easily deleted and nobody would really miss anything. All that's needed to know is Butch got to the hotel room (or her apartment. Again I really don't remember)and went to sleep and the next day as he's getting dressed, he's looking for his watch in the bag that turns out that is not there. At that point, starts the mission where Butch has to get that gold watch back. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. There's like 8 to 9 minutes that could be easily saved

Exactly right.
Tarantino says he cut the scenes with Keitel at the junkyard and Dick Miller's scene because2000 it comes so late in the film, and it was time to get on to the diner finale. He was worried having too many asides that late in the film would make the film drag before the big diner scene. As I said, I would much rather have had that stuff than Butch and Fabienne at the motel. From the very first time I saw the film, I was enormously entertained from the start all the way up until Willis comes in and crawls into bed with her. Then, the film dragged for the next 10-15 minutes or so, right in the middle. Once he goes to get the watch, the film became interesting again. Then, I love it to the end. And I honestly think that those Monster Joe/junkyard scenes would have been good to keep in the film, too.
Anyway, it is what it is, now. I still really like it. And at least we got the Dick Miller scene as a bonus feature eventually.
