She also speaks Japanese in the Torchwood season 1 episode 12, entitled "Captain Jack Harkness" where she's talking to a Japanese relative on the phone before entering the abandoned dance hall building, she is then transported to 1941 timeframe temporarily with John Barrowman as the familiar Captain Jack. This episode was one of the best from season 1.
