Regarding the news item on her this afternoon - Her and Lily Allen have come under attack for smoking in front of her daughter and not shielding it from her because kids who see their Mum smoke are going to smoke themselves.
Can I just say that fact is utter bollocks. My mum smoked in front of me and my two brothers and, as a result, it's had the opposite affect. We wouldn't touch a cigarette with a barge pole after seeing the affects that come with it.

I came here to say the same. Both my parents have always smoked around me and I haven't and wont ever smoke a cigarette. I'm not defending Moss or Allen, I'm not a fan of them by any means. But I skimmed past the story and had roll my eyes.

Even if it were possible that this could "glamorise" the activity, then a parent communicating honestly and openly with their child would be even more likely to dispel any copycat behaviour.
Personally; I'd be more inclined to worry about the effects of passive smoking on tiny lungs that didn't ask for any such input

Just the way for the media to get the hate started on a successful person, everyday parents smoke in front of their kids, mine did and I have not even thought about touching a cigarette, this is one of those articles that once read you think "really? why is this news?"
Don't worry, I saw Lord of the Rings. I'm not going to end this 17 times. -
