I just saw "Hulk" and was surprised to hear him refered to as "Mr. Blue." I recall, vividly, him in "Minority Report." In that movie he makes multiple references to "the most dazzling display of blue objects."
And I'm certain although I cannot recall it now seeing him in another movie where his character made distinct "blue" references. Anyone help me? Is there a trend? Or is that just coincidence?
It's neat to learn a few behind-the-scenes factoids about the making of a movie. I wonder if I'm picking up on some behind-the-scenes details about this actor's body of work? -

I think this is more coincidental than intentional.
The alias they gave him in The Incredible Hulk - Mr. Blue - is actually a codename of a character that aided Bruce Banner in the comic books during the time Bruce Jones was writing it (during 2003, if I recall accurately).
Unfortunately the Mr. Blue in the film doesn't correlate to the one that was revealed in the comics, so they've taken obvious liberty with it there. It was likely intended to be a kitschy little reference for the hardcore comic book geeks out there more than anything else.
At any rate, Tim's character is set to become the villain better known as The Leader if they stay true to form with the new film installments. Mr. Blue in the comic books was revealed to be Betty Ross/Banner, miraculously back from the dead (because after all, few people rarely ever stay dead i238n the comics anyway). This was, of course, later retconned on another writer's run on the title years later.
Hope that satisfies your curiosity. If nothing else, you can rest easy knowing that you found an interesting coincidence between Minority Report and The Incredible Hulk regarding Tim's roles in each.
