From one father to another, and coming from someone who lost their mother at a young age, stay strong man. Amazingly enough, today is the anniversary of my mother's death, 20 years ago to the day.
I can tell you this It's a sh!t situation with no good answers and very little comfort, but I promise you, it will get better. While people will struggle to find the right words, I can assure you, the only words your daughter really needs to hear is that her father loves her, and her mother loves her.
Good luck to you, sir. -

This seems to be an unusually heavy year for deaths for the well-known and the well-known adjacent, apparently. I just watched his new special from San Francisco on Netflix as well. He couldn't have known, based on his delivery, that his wife would be so close to death. Just awful. I just lost my brother in a car accident three weeks ago, so I'm well aware that death can sometimes take you completely by surprise. Condolences to the family, friends, and well-wishers.

+1. Sorry for Patton Oswalt's loss. She died at such a ridiculously young age, and they have such a young daughter together. It's very sad. This guy is a great comedian, I loved his one stand up bit that was on Showtime.

Just terrible for everyone involved. Can you imagine being a funny man and trying to perform after something like this? Any idea if the death was sudden or somewhat expected? (was she like battling cancer?)

Yeah, I'm getting sick of that particular phrase too - my heart goes out to you. Everyone says that the last 15 years or so. Same with "back in the day." Ughh!
No! That's not true at all, Elvis takes 50% of everything I earn!
