Where's Bonnie in Cry-Baby? She's credited as "Picnic Mother" but I don't recall seeing her. I saw the movie when it first came out, and just got the DVD, so I probably need to freeze-frame any picnic scenes to look for her.
I remember when the film came out, I was reading an interview (probably in Film Threat) with someone (maybe Susan Lowe?) who said they were both in the film in bit parts. The person interviewed said she (herself, not Bonnie) deserved a "Best Extra" Oscar for her peformance. That always made me laugh. Especially since Bonnie would win hands down! 😉

I know her scene was deleted in the original release, but it may have been replaced in the DVD version, which is a bit longer

Thanksk for the info, BWKermadecs. No wonder I couldn't find her!
Yeah, her bits in later films are very small. Some of them are "blink and you miss it" cameo appearences, especially in Hairspray.
I'm very disappointed that she's not really in Cry-Baby. It's always fun to play "find Bonnie" when you watch a new John Waters film.

Yeah- i was sad she was cut out too. i also Heard the Jean Hill (Grizelda) also shot some scenes for the movie but they were cut too! Why oh why werent they included in the directors cut or atleast with the rest of the deleted scenes on the dvd.

I think she was the crossing guard at the beginning of the movie. I was so sure it was her 'cuz of the pale skin and her voice.

Nope - that was Patricia Hearst.
