Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Bob Peck

    fernandom06 — 22 years ago(May 25, 2003 07:06 AM)

Bob Peck (I) best film is 'Jurassic Park'(1993) because ultimately the stars of the movie are the dinosaurs and they still impress today. The plot is as small as the preserved insect from which a DNA strand is extracted to create a living, breathing dinosaur. It is bred on a secret island off the coast of Costa Rica where eventually a whole colony of prehistoric creatures thrive. But this is a fairground ride of a movie and as such it's one of the best.

I suggest you see some of his other movies too. It doesnt take alot of action or dinosoars to make a good movie, it takes good actors and Peck was a great actor.
        RIP BOB PECK

Bob Peck was great in Jurrassic Park because of the "Badass" vibe he gave off, and the fact he was willing to go upagainst the greatest predator ever mostlikley, even though the odds didnt favor him
His preformances wasnt great just because of what kind of movie it was. it was his acting and his persona

Yes, Bob Peck was the greatest actor in Jurassic Park, but still I would consider Merisairas/Merisairas (a Finnish production spokenin English) as his best film. Peck is playing a captain a freighter that is not permitted to enter any harbour, because of the vague cargo (nuclear waste?) that it is carrying. The ship is circulating around the Mediterranean Sea and the crew is getting impatient(there is also Katrin Cartlidge in this film).
Lord of Flies is also a great film, allthough Peck appears only a few seconds on the screen and has only one line to say, but that line is the most memorable one, it is the last one: "What are guys doing?". The film is great itself, but Beck makes it even greater. You should also see The Opium War, a historical drama in which Peck plays an evil opium merchant.
Well, Ive seen Peck only in a few films, but still I would say that he is one of the greatest British actors ever.

I've only seen him in Jurassic Park, but his performance was so self-assured, confident, and cool, that I've wanted to more of his films. Its a great tragedy that he is no longer with us.

                  To The O.P:
This has to be the GaYeSt CRAP that I have ever heard!! You see an actor in ONE film and assume that it is his best film?
I knew before I even opened the post that this was going to be a STUPID thread!!
