Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Bob Peck

    dagil — 22 years ago(September 05, 2003 10:52 AM)

Bob Peck was an incredible actor, with fantastic charisma. He just seemed like a great man. I was most saddened to hear of his death.

Yes, it's sad that he died. I din't even know about it until tonight, when I was reading something on the
      Jurassic Park 4
      message board.

Same here, I read about his death on Wikipedia, I checked a more reliable source and found out it was true. This is horrible 😞

Me too- I'm sad about his death. Bob Peck was invisible to me while he was living. Then over the summer I watched him in a 80's BBC video "After Pilkington" and was riveted by the charm and subtleties of his performance as James Westgate. I've lost track of how many times I've viewed that movie since then- I'll wear out the tape, I'm sure. He's that good.
I looked him up here, searching for the work he's done so I could track it all down and watch it. That's when I found out that his filmography is now set in stone. Silly for a fan to talk about grief, but even so my heart feels sick that he's gone. He's on a very short list of my truly cherished actors.

Bob Peck becomes one of the great unknowns.

(Raises both hands and waves them wildly in the air I'm a fan! ME! ME!)
Seriously though, I came on IMDB to find out if he was still acting and saw the date of death and nearly started crying. Cheers to a great man!

How long were you a fan? 🙂

Let's see, I was pretty young when the film (Jurassic Park) came out,and that was when I first saw him, so I've been a fan for about 11 years now. Are there any other really good films he was in? I'd really like to enjoy him a bit more, since I'm tired of seeing him die in JP(hehe, but I never do see him die, because ever since I'2000ve been watching the movie on VHS, I always fast forward past that scene)

Cool, I'd say he was pretty good in Edge of Darkness, An Ungentlemanly Act, Natural Lies, The Kitchen Toto and of course Jurassic Park.. 🙂 He really shouldn't have gotten killed in JP.. I think it was a stupid call by Steven S.. I've been a fan of his for a long time, I'm sad that he passed away.. 😞
