I just watched Cambridge Spies.
Anyone who knows it well, can you explain why Donald Maclean suddenly leaped on his secretary/admin lady?
And why he suddenly stopped?
It made no sense to me.
I'm a forty-odd year old woman, yet nobody pays
me
to snog Rupert Penry Jones. I've obviously made
all
the wrong career choices

I'm in.
And stop saying mock." -

Rupert Penry Jones shows how very scary he can be in Cambridge Spies. Duplicitous to his country, violently jealous of his wifeWhen he looks up and to the left he definitely makes one shudder. He played a similar cold and heartless man in Catherine Cookson's The Moth and in Agatha Cristie's Poirot: Sad Cypress. He shows he has the range to be other than a romantic heartthrob.
