I know his parents are both Portuguese, does anyone know if he speaks it fluently, or if he's ever been to Portugal to visit?

Yes, he speaks portuguese. He learned this languaje thanks to her mother when he was a child, I think he went to Azores with his mother and some years later he had some vacation at Portugal after ROR tour
