I sense a lot of negativity in your post.
Since when is playing a lesbian or being an activist a bad thing?
Sure, one can push it too far, but Ellen seems to be fairly moderate with her activism.

I think 90% of people's problem with her is that she is gay and talks about being gay. I've seen people build up this image of her as being some man-hating lesbian when she still regularly hangs out with guys in her regular life.

Please, both you and the post you answered to are being intentionally ignorant.

And you know how they're complaining about something that has no basis in reality, right?

Incorrect, agree with him. This womgirl has been throwing her sexual orientations in our faces(despite already knowing from the start).

Then you're eith2000er uninformed or being deliberately obtuse.
Ellen's last two films she played a straight girl and even had scenes where she had sex with a guy.

Yes, that is pretty much how it's going to be from now on. She is that annoying lesbian actress and not an actress who happens to be a lesbian. Every single thing she does incorporates or is solely about gay crap and it got old 2 years ago. I wish she never came out, though it was obvious to everyone.

Two of her most recent films (Tallulah and Into the Forest) she's played a straight girl. There's no indication that her upcoming roles in Flatliners and The Third Wave are gay and she was also in talks to play John Belushi's wife in a biopic right after she came out.
Maybe you just aren't paying enough attention or just seeing what serves your own agenda.
