After seeing Summer Lovers I went right to the IMDB to see what else she was in and was very sad to learn of her death. She had t1c84he most specatular eyes. She could of become a superstar. I also agree with Bladerunner's comments about how nudity is portrayed these days.

Nobody seems to have any details. There is a very mediocre tribute page, but I have not seen a proper obituary or any other details. It said she was taking time off to spend more time with her family. Would love to know if she had any children and if have pursued acting.
Also - there is fabulous picture of her you see Daryl Hannah developing in Summer Lovers. That photo should be turned into a poster. -

Valerie Quenessen was a truly great, beautiful and magnetic actress. She was terrific in both "Summer Lovers" and "Conan the Barbarian." I too am greatly saddened by her tragic and untimely death in a car accident while only in her early 30's.

I first saw her in "French Postcards". Lob68ved that movie and her accent! I have just found another film she was in on Netflix, titled "Les Uns et Les Autres". It looks like she had a very small role there.

I was saddened when I look at her page on this site and saw that she had passed away in 89. At least she is survived by her 2 children. So beautiful in summer lovers. I didnt know she was in 5b4Conan as the Princess but when its on again I will look for her. RIP Valerie.
