Yeah, I heard from a friend that he was just a whinny little bitch at the Austin film festival after he lost at the Oscars. There was a directors event and everyone is pumped up and feeling good and he gets up and starts whining about how hard it's been for him, blah blah. Total ass.

Why would Jason Reitman be going to an Oscar party in Ann Arbor Michigan?
If this occured on the day of the Oscar's Jason Reitman was in California, at the Oscar's. He was nominated for the best director award.
Good story, that you either made up or fell for.

You do realise, he was asking them to play an ADDITIONAL screening for him, not to change the time that people had already bought tickets for, which is where a lot of people seem to be losing the point
I don't know which story to believe regarding his attitude, but I can't see where there was any inconvenience. The theatre was supposedly paid to screen an extra showing of this movie, which a bunch of them got to watch with an Oscar nominated director, son of a very famous director which a lot of people working there will have grown up watching some of his movies It sounds like a blast, and unless he was a total tw*t in getting in put on, then I don't see why there should be an issue.
The theatre made some nice extra cash, the staff got to meet a recognisable director/watch a damn good movie with him, everything, if Reitman's account is to be believed, was legit and legal.
By the sounds of Reitman's response to this, saying "another story about why I'm an a**hole" it sounds like there are a lot of stories about Since I've never heard them from a legit source, I'd guess that someone people have just got it in for him, for whatever reason.

What makes you think the staff cared about Reitman being there and the indie foreign movie? Not everyone is a cinephile like you and me, dude.

And If this Reitman guy is a jerk, let him be. You guys just love the ultimate "spoiled, smart, brilliant and arrogant" characters in TV shows, why is it such a huge problem when it comes to a real person you don't actually know in your life? What's the differences between the tv characters and celebs?
