She felt empathy for Donald Trump who was falsely accused of many things so, she voted for him to spite the hateful, delusional child minded adults that lack character. -

She didn't support Trump. She campaigned against him.
She was saying that Hollywood hurt the Democrats in the way if went so viciously against Trump, which sadly helped his victory.

She's not a Trump supporter, in fact she actually voted for Hillary at the elections.
Zoe was simply just pointing out the possible reason why Trump won, what she said was true though, Trump did receive a lot of criticism during the elections and I think that probably ultimately worked in his favour, Zoe never said that she supported Trump nor did she ever say she felt sympathy for him, what she said was many people in America felt sympathy for him and that helped him gain more votes from the American public. She was not speaking for herself, she was referring to the majority of the American public who voted for Trump possibly because they felt sympathy for him.
